About me
Dr. Heather Gold serves as Chief Learning Officer at Gateway Community Charters (GCC), supporting TK–12th grade students across the greater Sacramento region. With a doctorate in Organizational Leadership, she is deeply committed to transforming schools to improve outcomes for all students, particularly those from diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Dr. Gold leads GCC's multi-year AI implementation plan through the AI Maverick Leadership Collaborative and facilitates workshops for educational leaders through the 21st Century School Leadership Academy, focusing on ethical and innovative AI integration. She is the co-author of Leading AI in Schools: A Practical Guide for K-12 Educators Who Don't Have All the Answers and her leadership was featured in Daniel Fitzpatrick's book Infinite Education: The Four-Step Strategy for Leading Change in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. She previously served as the K–12 AI expert for the CSUS National Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Society and founded Learning RedesignED to champion redesigning education to meet the needs of students in an evolving world.
